Flexible silos are ideal for internal bulk storage and when planning difficulties make conventional steel silos an impractical proposition. Sizes are available from 1tonne to 50tonnes and are individually manufactured to fit the available space.
With prices that are extremely competitive compared to steel silos, delivery is roughly half that of a steel silo.
The photograph shows two flexible silos linked. Another advantage of flexible silos is that two or more can be linked using either a mechanical or pneumatic conveying system. As the framework surrounding each silo is modular, costs and delivery times are considerably better than with a conventional silo.
The advantages of having a combined FIBC discharge system and sack tip station are costs and space-saving. This ingenious design allows product from the FIBC and from sacks to be discharged simultaneously.
A Suction Probe vacuum conveyor allows both abrasive and non-abrasive product to be delivered to a main conveying line without the need for a rotary valve.
FIBC discharge systems can either be replenished with a fork-lift or chain hoist. We manufacture and supply both versions and will recommend based on the customer’s requirement and available space.
With Roots Blowers we again work closely with our sister company, Industrial Blower Services, who are agents and distributers for most of the larger manufacturers. A comprehensive range is available to suit requirements, applications and, of course, budgets.
Powder Receiving Vessels and all associated equipment is manufactured in our ISO managed factory. This gives us total control of design, quality and delivery.
We manufacture our own sack-tip stations in our own factory. Versions are available in both mild steel and stainless steel.

We supply bulk storage silos as part of a turn-key project whenever necessary. Versions in stainless steel and aluminium depending on the product to be stored are designed by ourselves. We also handle the delivery and installation.
Structural steelwork, in one form or another, holds together practically everything that we do. Consequently we design, manufacture and install all our own structural steelwork.
Site installations are just as important as the design and manufacture of a system. Our engineers will spend many hours working on a system to make sure that it performs as required. Making sure that the system is installed correctly is absolutely vital and we use our own team just to make sure.
The ingredient batching pod system seen in this photograph is our own design. This particular system has been installed in a bakery and is set-up to handle four ingredients. Each ingredient is simultaneously weighed, conveyed, sieved and delivered to the customers own mobile dough bowl. An innovative dust extraction facility keeps the dough bowl dust free and clean. This system can handle twenty-six batches per hour.
Loss-in-weight pod assemblies are individual batch weighing assemblies. When installed as multiple arrangements, simultaneous dosing of different ingredients is possible which dramatically decreases batch assembly times.

Loss-in-weight batch feeding is used in many industries to handle many different ingredients. This photograph shows a system that completes forty-four batches per hour, handling seven different ingredients.
With a process requiring multiple ingredients, Sack-tip stations are an important way of introducing relatively small quantities. However, it is still necessary convey the product for processing – mixing or packing. In most instances we will recommend vacuum conveying and the photograph shows a sack-tip, vacuum transfer, intermediate hoppers and in-line sieving.
All our pipework is installed by our own installation team who have complete understanding of dealing with complex pipework installations in hygienic conditions.
Inline sieving is included in practically all our installations and is usually combined with magnetic detection. This way, it is practically impossible to import contaminates into a batch.
